Choosing 'with' or 'without' forced ventilation -
With forced ventilation - Allows airflow even when closed, which can help prevent condensation build up. However, this can cause wind noise and whistling. Usually fitted in caravans or trailers being towed.
Without forced ventilation - Provides a complete seal when closed, which can reduce noise during travel. The non-vented version includes a gasket that seals the skylight lid/dome to the base when fully closed. Usually fitted in vehicles.
