Instructions on assembly leave much to be desired with it being easy to confuse similar parts with one another. Once done though it looks the part. Fitting it to the van is almost a two person job with it being necessary to force the rack down at the same time as securing the bottom brackets to the door. Very stable structure when done. It had been my intention to just attach the bike rack when I needed it but with the difficulty in getting it on in the first place, and I can't imagine it's that easy to get off either, it's staying where it is for the duration. Dropped a star for the poor instructions and no lock on the rack to secure the bikes.

Good quailty materials, well made. Pity that the instructions lack proper comment on various bolt lengths - assemble finger-tight, as you'll need to go back and swap some around, probably. Bit of a tight fit against paintwork on base of door, but it looks a workmanlike product.

The rack is very easy to install as long as you have a couple of 10 and 8mm spanners. Before I ordered it I assumd that the rack and nay bikes on it would be secure from theft, but that simply isn't the case. Anyone with the above spanners can remove the rack once in situ and take your bikes so actually that's a big let down for the rack and why I wouldn't give it 5 stars which it would otherwise get. It seems that the only real way to make the rack and bikes secure is to use permanent resin on the bolts that hold it all together, which would also make the thing impossible to remove. Just have to keep my finger crossed that opportunist thieves don't usually have spanners with them!
