Hinged Spring Brackets

These robust shelf support brackets are a very versatile bracket in that they are collapsible. They allow for a shelving unit to be lifted and locked into place when desired, and then lowered flush against the wall when not required for use. When lifting the shelf, the supporting arm is sprung, so will automatically follow the open angle of the shelf, until it finally locks into place at 90 degrees. To lower the shelf when you no longer want to use it, you would simply press the release lever on the underside of the front end of the bracket, which will lift the supporting arm out of its locking groove and allow the shelf to be lowered. These brackets are rated to carry up to 40kg per pair - including the weight of the shelf! Made of steel with a yellow chromatized finish, they are more of a practical shelving solution in tight spaces and work environments where temporary shelving is in and out of use regularly.

They could also be used for folding table ends, if a suitable mounting is available on the under-side of the table!
